Introduction

Connect 4 is another classic board game where two players play a colored version of tick-tac-toe, trying to get 4 of their colors in a row. The rules are fairly simple, but the difficulty of the game play is determined more by the skill level of the other player than any other factor. It’s fairly inexpensive and is great to keep kids occupied for a while.

How to Play Connect 4

The set up is very simple. There is a vertical wall with circles in a grid layout with a hole up the top to pop the circle chips into. As stated, the aim of the game is to get 4 of your color in a row before the other player. This requires you to simultaneous strategize how to want to get your four in a row as well as blocking the attempts by the other player. Once someone gets 4 in a row, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally, they win the game.

Notes

Connect 4 is a great game to have that most people know how to play. There are heaps of variations, some with their own twist on the rules, but all are equally as fun. Is a great game for siblings to play against each other and couples to battle it out with their wits.
